Allan’s original career was in research chemistry and he made the change to acupuncture in 1980.

1980-1984 Licentiate of Acupuncture Lic Ac.
College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Leamington Spa.

1987 Acupuncture Skills Course with John and Angela Hicks, Bristol.

1988-1990 Batchelor of Acupuncture BAc.
College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Leamington Spa.

1990-1995 Traditional Acupuncture Society Somerset area organiser and contact.

1991-1993 TCM Integration Course (theory)
with John and Angela Hicks, London.

1995-1996 British Acupuncture Council Somerset area organiser and contact.

1997-2003 Clinical Observation with JR and JB Worsley, Traditional Acupuncture Centre, Leamington Spa.

2000-2002 TCM Integration Course (practical/clinical)
with John and Angela Hicks, College of Integrated Chinese Medicine,
Reading.

2004-present British Acupuncture Council Somerset area organiser and contact.

Allan Johnstone is a member of the British Acupuncture Council
(BAcC) which is the main acupuncture organisation for non- medically trained acupuncturists in the UK
