Naturally enough, prospective patients are keen to know whether I have had success in treating their particular problem and over the years, I have seen and treated many patients with a very wide range.
You are welcome to telephone me to discuss your health problems and I can also tell you about other patient's experiences and give you an idea of what to expect when you come for treatment.
Often a client will come to acupuncture for help with a specific symptom or condition. For example for help to help relieve the pain and stiffness as a result of osteoarthritis of the knee. Others choose to have treatment to help maintain good health, as a preventative measure, or to improve their general sense of wellbeing. Traditional acupuncture is aimed at treating the whole person and so can be effective for a range of conditions. This approach can help with resolving your main problem and often other apparently unrelated problems can start to resolve too.
Sometimes patients just feel unwell in themselves, but they can’t quite put their finger on what is wrong. Generally, these patients have already been through the conventional western medical system and the result of all their tests came back ‘negative’.
Others can feel worn out and depleted from the stresses and strains going on in their lives. Ironically, relaxing and recharging becomes progressively more difficult and a whole raft of symptoms can emerge, just because their systems are struggling along on low power.
Treatment can be very effective in dealing with recent acute problems as well as those which have been lingering on for years.
When treatment is directed at restoring the overall energy balance it is usual for the patient to experience an improvement in their overall condition. Many people return to acupuncture time and time again because they find it so beneficial and relaxing.
Acupuncture treatment is suitable for most people of all ages and occupations. Treatment works well with patients receiving conventional medical treatment from their doctor, as well as those who are having chiropractic, osteopathy and other complementary medicine.
